ARCPANEL Roof Solutions

Mark Lawler Architects are based in Newcastle, NSW and they need to be mindful of the marine environments surrounding many of their projects. Subsequently, they specify products and materials suited to withstand constant, harsh exposure. Of course, Mark Lawler Architects also look for aesthetic appeal and environmental benefits such as thermal performance, realistic pricing and product warranty available.

For one recent residential project in particular, located on an elevated corner site in Merewether, NSW the ARCPANEL Custom Roof Panel really met the design brief requirements, the brief incorporated a 3 metre cantilever over the large upper deck which did not restrict the expansive view outlook or sun access.

Generally to achieve this slenderness and cantilever, structural steel framing would have been required which is very expensive, however the nature of ARCPANEL’s pre-fabricated, insulated sandwich panels means the panels are lightweight and quick and easy to install.

When you use an ARCPANEL Roof there’s no requirement for additional thermal insulation, battening, plastering or painting which saves time and money.

Internally, the ARCPANEL Custom Panels profiled underside is appreciated in the living spaces as a feature texture, offsetting against the typical smooth plasterboard face. Combined with finishes and surfaces such as timber and concrete the aesthetics created are simply stunning.
